My name is Eris.

Eris, an androgynous person with short brown hair, twists around to gaze off to one side, a small smile (some might call it a rehabilitated smirk) on their face. They wear a soft gray sweater; behind them is a forest with late afternoon light peeking through.

I’m an interdisciplinary narrative artist working primarily with music and text to explore human empathy and relationships. I am also a teacher and researcher, analyzing power dynamics and their effects on people of various marginalizations. Across all my work, I focus on trauma-informed performance ethics as well as the erasure of queerness in music pedagogy and performance.
